Take a Peek at Our New Summer Menu 

It's scorchio outside and the perfect time for a change of the season and a change in our new summer menu at The George Hathersage.

Our executive chef, Adrian Gagea, and head chef at The George, James Heywood, have blended their culinary expertise to create a menu that celebrates the diverse produce on offer in the Peak District.

We work with local suppliers to source the best local produce from field to farm to fork. You can check out our suppliers here.

The Summer Menu 

We've picked out a few of our stand-out favourites for this sneak peek, but there's enough on this menu to keep you coming back week after week!

So scrap the big shop, settle down into one of our cosy corners or outdoor courtyard and sink your taste buds into some of these wonderful dishes.

Italian bruschetta on toasted focaccia bread

with marinated buffalo mozzarella and heritage tomatoes, rocket salad, pine nuts and herb oil (GFa) (V).

Optional – add prosciutto.

Onion bhaji inspired scotch egg

served with homemade mango chutney (GF)

Buffalo chicken wings

with spicy slaw and blue cheese dip (GF)

Mexican-spiced chickpea & cauliflower salad

with guacamole, roasted spiced chickpeas, tortilla crisp, spring onions, chilli, ginger, carrot ribbons, mixed leaves and green dressing (GFa) (VE)

BBQ beef short rib

served with grilled corn on the cob, coleslaw and skinny fries (GF)

Lamb meatball

with maple-glazed goats’ cheese, mashed potato, grilled spiced cauliflower, sugar snaps and lamb jus (GF)

Lamb ragu calzone

homemade tomato sauce, grated mozzarella, lamb ragu, jalapeños, yoghurt & chive dip, rocket salad.

Looking for something lighter? Substitute half your pizza for a salad for a lower calorie and lower carb option.

Panzanella salad

with heritage tomatoes, cucumber, olives, coriander & lime polenta croutons and caper & parsley vinaigrette (GF) (VE)

The George supreme burger

with chorizo cheese salsa jalapeños and pulled BBQ pork (GFa)

All burgers served in a pretzel bun with tomato jam, triple-cooked chips, garlic mayo, carrot & fennel slaw.
