Easter at Chatsworth House

A visit to Chatsworth House is always a magical experience, and this Easter, it’s filled with fun activities including creative workshops in water marbling, paint blowing, and spring crafts, a family trail and Pinetum play area for outdoor adventure and fossil spotting, animal encounters with guinea pigs, chicks, and farmyard animals, and Easter egg hunts from the 18th to the 21st of April.

Easter Egg-Stravaganza at Thornbridge Hall

From the 7th to the 21st of April, Thornbridge Hall is hosting an Easter Fun Zone with games, crafts, and a film club. Kids can also enjoy an Easter egg hunt around the gardens.

Special workshops include a Lego printing workshop on the 11th of April and a Posca pen workshop on the 14th of April, where children can create their own designs with acrylic paint markers.

Both workshops include garden access for one child and one adult, priced at £20 per child.

Easter at Matlock Farm Park

From the 5th to the 21st of April, Matlock Farm Park is celebrating Easter with bottle-feeding cade lambs, an Easter Treasure Trail with mini prizes, animal encounters, pony rides, wallaby encounters, and sheep, ferret, and meerkat racing.

Over the Easter weekend, families can enjoy even more activities.

Dinosaur Fun Day – Good Friday (18th April)
On Good Friday Dinosaur Fun Day features Rita the T-Rex and an interactive dinosaur dig experience.

The Big Bubbleman – Easter Sunday (20th April)
On Easter Sunday The Big Bubbleman will put on a spectacular bubble show with giant and colourful bubbles.

Tickets start at £16.50 for children and £18.50 for adults. There are discounts for families of 4 or 5, NHS or Armed Forces workers and senior citizens. Under 2s go free.

Easter at Peak Village

Peak Village, the shopping destination near Rowsley is a great spot for some retail therapy.

On Easter Sunday, the 20th of April, Peak Village is hosting a special Alice in Wonderland Easter Fun Day with storytelling, crafts, and a themed Easter trail.

It’s free to attend and is on from 11am to 4pm.
