The ethos behind our menus is simple: it must be local, fresh, accessible and food that our guests would want to enjoy with us. The George brings together the typical pub menu with a modern twist. From wood-fired pizzas and chargrilled steaks to our diverse selection of burgers, we are there for you, for all occasions. Our menus, carefully designed by our Executive Chef, Adrian Gagea and Head Chef James Heywood, are made with all dietary requirements in mind, including a big focus on gluten free and plant-based options.

We believe the bar is the beating heart of any pub worth its salt. From locally brewed ales, craft draught, Derbyshire gins and hand-picked wines, right the way through to ethically sourced coffee and speciality teas, we’ve lovingly stocked our supplies with the best tipples in town.
From breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea to dinner, we have every base covered and more excuses for you to enjoy more at The George. Pizzas are served from 12pm every day. We always recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
